Some information and how to contact us
Who: Sail Poole Harbour is a new venture by Adam Dolman, lifelong sailor, Yachtmaster, ex-professional skipper, engineer, teacher.
Where: based in the pretty Saxon town of Wareham, one boat (at the moment - we intend to grow) for sailing in Poole Harbour.
Why: Boats are getting bigger, everything is ‘luxury’ with the price tag that goes with it! But what about the ordinary people who want a great sailing weekend without the hassle of chartering a big expensive yacht? They would be happy with a small, cosy boat that is reasonably priced, if only they could find one.
This is who Sail Poole Harbour was created for. We are now in our THIRD SEASON with a 20 foot yacht that is easy and fun to sail. She (we have called her ‘Skate’) has four berths, galley, heating, porta-potti everything that you need to ‘camp’ on the water. Think of her as the sailing version of a VW campervan!
Now, the best bit of this adventure is that on a Skate they can sail where all those big boats cannot! For example, the small idyllic anchorages of Blood Alley (south of Brownsea Island) and Arne (the RSPB reserve that has the widest bio-diversity in Britain). How about mooring alongside the quay at Wareham or right in close to the beach at Studland? Lots of possibilities ...
